maybe they are making a cylinder for a column or tower
or for the dimensions of an arch
Architects are responsible for the material list. The material list is everything that is required to build the project. Pi would be used to determine how much cement is needed for a round patio for instance.
As a delicious snack.
Seriously, pi is used in radian measure, which is essential in trigonometry. And trigonometry is used to find angles given the length of sides of a triangle or vice versa, which is all rather useful stuff.
Not to mention its use in finding the area/circumference of a circle and volume/surface area of a sphere...but I doubt that architects would have to worry about carpeting the floor of a a perfectly cylindrical room. That's a job for the furnishers, who had better remember their geometry.
pie is 3.142 in basic terms but it would help if we knew what sort of profect you are doin. pie is used for circles as pie r squared wich is pie x the radius of the cirlce, squared, with that equation you can find out the size of any radius or full circle and angles, it is very hard to grasp but once you have it comes quite easily
they eat pie i believe..
