How do I ban a certain IP address to access my site?
I have a blog and there are certain readers which I would want to ban from my site. Good thing I had one of those IP loggers. But I dunno how to use it.
If you have a blog and know someone's IP address, and you have full control of your website, you can ban the IP address using specific options, depending on how much control you really have. If the site is hosted with Apache and you can use .htaccess files, just add the following line to your .htaccess file:
Deny From bad.site
(where bad.site is the IP address or hostname you want to ban).
Alternatively, your blog software might have a ban feature.
Alternatively, if you have full control over the server, you can add that IP address to your hosts.deny or firewall settings and permanently refuse all connections from that host.
It all depends. You'll have to read the manuals, or talk to your web host, or blog host.

A typical response: RTM (read the manual).
