Good question I have the same problem I also want to know how to the same. Now I'm receiving emails from South Africa asking me for money.I saw the news Date Line and they did an investigation on guys from Africa that email people in USA asking for some money and in return they are gonna invest or use for their family needs and in a short amount of time they will repay millions for the thousands you let use but its all a scam they just take your money and disappear well only an idiot will fall for that I know that this has nothing to with your question but I thought It would be nice to share.
The most common reason for getting so much spam mail is the simple act of opening it. Some spam mails contain triggers that alert the spammers to your active email address, so all you have to do is open the email and the trigger sends the alert immediately back to the spammer. Then your name is on their active list. Use common sense when handling emails...
1. Spam mails that go straight to Bulk/Spam should be left there, unopened. You can empty that folder any time you want, but never NEVER open spam mails. DON'T try to unsubscribe from anything and DON'T click any links in those mails.
2. Spam mails that land in your Inbox should be marked as Spam so that they are moved to the Bulk/Spam folder and placed on the Blocked list. (Blocking an address prevents mails from being received from that address again in the future.)
3. Any email that you are the least bit suspicious about should be deleted immediately. Don't let curiosity get the better of you. Simply opening a spam email out of curiosity could alert the spammers that you have an active email address (they probably didn't know it before), to which they will undoubtedly send TONS of spam mail in the future.
The best way to block spammers in your Yahoo account is not by pressing the "SPAM" button.
Instead, do this- open your Yahoo! e-mail and open a spam letter. In the sender's address box, copy the URL of the spammed account. (For instance, [email protected] - you would only copy "atbroad.com")
Open a second browser window (or TAB) with your Yahoo email account. In the top right of that window is "OPTIONS" click that and then select "Block Addresses"
You will see a list of all the blocked addresses- REMOVE THEM ALL because it is harder to block individual addresses.
Paste the URL of the site you wish to block (such as "atbroad.com" or whatever the URL is of the spammail you are getting)
Do this instead of hitting the SPAM button every time because that will ONLY block an individual e-mail account.
By blocking an entire site, it does not matter which e-mail address created tries to spam you- it will be blocked. For example, [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] all come from the domain "atbroad.com" if you block the URL and not the individual, none of the e-mails generated from that spam website will get through.
Just be careful, if the URL is something like earthlink.com, msn.com, aol.com, gmail.com, yahoo.com, or other COMMON e-mail sites- you DO NOT want to block that URL because you will never receive e-mails from friends or family who use those accounts.
Another way is if you can block the IP address but I recommend that for advanced users.
Neither. you do no longer pick a sparkling account on the same time because of the fact the usually going on public of spams ultimately finally end up on your unsolicited mail digital mail field. i assume Gmail has custom digital mail filtering. If spams have become via ability of that have some progression or keywords you are able to know you need to use the filters to offer them directly to the trash bin. effective, Yahoo digital mail does all that. So Gmail ought to.
