I want to delete a folder but it keeps saying, "This action can not be completed because the folder is open in another program. Close the folder and try again." What does that mean? And how can I close the folder?
Please and Thank you!
Update:I don't think any of you are getting it. I NEED to know HOW to CLOSE the folder. I don't need the Task Manager, so stop saying that!

Try clicking on the folder and pushing F5.
If that doesn't work, restart your computer and try it.
ok i have the same problem with a program i try to close it out and it minimizes it and i can't close here is what u do open ur task manager and click on the folder and then click end task and after it closes click on the folder and drag it into ur recycle bin and it should do the trick
EDIT
the folder is probably guarded by something on your computer or is in use you must end that first before you're allowed to close it windows does this for various reasons task manager is the usual way to do this
but if that fails you can
use unlocker its free here

you can open task manager and try it that way
under processes be careful though
a better way is to download a program called unlocker
this will do everything for you works great i use it myself
it will close the resource that is using it fast and to delete to
you can get it here

It means exactly what it says! SOMETHING in the folder is being USED. Find what it is, shut it down, delete the folder
