We had a sub yesterday and the teacher didn't fully explain how to do the assignment. For example: (the o's are instead of theta)
tan (o) cot(o)=1
I believe it says to use trigonometric identities to turn the left side into the ride side. I know what trig identities are but not really what it means to turn the left side into the right side.

since cot(o)=1/tan(o)
{tan(o)}*{1/tan(o)} = 1
tan(o)=sin(o)/cos(o
cot(o) is cos(o)/sin(o)
So the two functions multiplied make 1 because of the simplifications.
