to dry roses hang it upside down in a cool DRY place and wait, the roses will dry usually within 2 weeks. a spray of hairspray (the areosol type) helps keep them in place but they will be brittle.
you can also salt them (put them in a bowl of salt, the salt absorbs the moisture from the petals and dries them however ive found this method tends to "damage" the colour.

what you do with them after that is up to you. personally i like to dry mine and arrange them in a vase.
i only press roses when there peak to preserve them and only if i want to use them for scrapbooking.
Use either plastic wrap or wax paper and press them in a heavy book, be sure the air can not get to the flower. It would be good to put the flower and book in a large plastic bag. If the flower oxidizes, it becomes brittle and does not preserve.

I have three different roses in a Saran Wrap and it is pressed down in a Bible. That is how I preserve the roses.
I always have applied moisturizing lotion and then drying them untill theyre almosy crisp and them I press them in a book.
I think you put, like sugar in it or something. I had some flowers, it was a expirement and the sugary one stayed alive longer.
put in the sun until it be dry!!
