its basically an outline a short story when i write mine i think of like DVD scenes just write out what happens next it really helps me out short story's work to but i like the outlines better
Copy and paste the address below to your address bar and read the synopsis for the movie "One Flew Over The cuckoo's Nest" I think this is a perfect example of a good synopsis. The point is to outline the plot and climatic events without telling the story completley. Good Luck.
A synopsis is just a 5-10 sentence paragraph regarding your movie or play.
MADE UP EXAMPLE OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD: Paul was a good salesman; probably the best you have ever seen.
Nobody ever says "no" to him--until now. Paul has met his match with the "House Lady;" a woman who buys only on line. Paul intends to sell her something. The "House Lady" will make Paul see the error of his ways. Over their adventures and misadventures Paul and the House Lady find a friendship no one could have ever predicted.
You should have a beginning and a end to the story.....description of the main characters.....and also two plot points. This is the structure of most movies done in hollywood excluding the exceptions like PulpFiction. If you are serious, read Syd Field's Screenplay books

basically sum up the beginning's part of the movie only leading up to the climax. And NO SPOILERS sum up some interesting aspects of the movie
