how does a miscarriage work?
on friday i got a positive EPT digital test
went to dr monday and had a blood test done and my hormone level was at 28
tuesday woke up having stomach pain all day went to er and level was at 26
at er they said that the ultrasound looked like there was a 4-5 week (that is about how far along i am) sac but that it looks to be unviable
my levels should be around 1500 or so
they said i just have to wait out a miscarriage.
went to my dr wed morning and she isn't sure how i could show a sac for 4-5 weeks but have such low hormones with out bleeding yet.
today (thursday) i just took the other digital test from the box and it came up negative.
from what i have read a digital has to have 50 or higher to read positive.
my doctor is doing a blood test tomorrow to see what it has done but now im sure its gone down since the home test says negative now when it said pos a week ago.
my question is should i have started bleeding yet?
im about 10 days past the day i should have started my period.
since i haven't started bleeding yet is it ok to have sex tonight (sorry if thats TMI)
how does the miscarriage process work. what is your story?
i have no clue why this pregnancy is not taking. i have 3 children that had no issues during pregnant and no prior issues like im having now
my back is hurting and my stomach has been cramping since tuesday morning.
Update:I am an emotional wreck. I didnt want any more kids then i find out im pregnant and start getting attached for a week. then bam no more baby. now i cant help but cry when i see pregnant women at the dr office an in the middle of the store.

A miscarriage usually happens when something is wrong. You don't have any control over it and cannot prevent it. I would advise you stay stress free and sex free until you find out for sure or not about a possible pregnancy. That way you don't assume something. For example, the sex can cause some spotting which you might intemperate for a miscarriage. Just wait to see what your doc says tomorrow and ask about the sex. She knows best!
