You travel through time and boom, you're in a mystical world that looks exactly the same. Then there's slightly different universes where you are there but you're a murderer or something else.
Update:Dimensions of space you can punch a hole through the air and you manipulated space and time. Lol.

The multiverse theory states that there are infinite amounts of parallel universes and we are only in one of them. For example, let's say someone offers you soup or salad. You choose soup. But it's possible that you could have said salad. So howcome there is only one outcome to every decision you make? this solves this paradox. Therefore, whenever you make a decision, the universe splits in two, one of which you made a decision, and the other you made the opposite decision. There are many theories of how and where these parallel universes exist, but the most common explanation is that the universes occupy the same space at the same time, but separated by a different dimension. The one thing that I think it explains is simply why people make stupid decisions. think about it, you can choose the right or wrong decision. Haven't you ever thought, why the hell did I just say that? This can be explained by parallel universes. , i think it exists. Also, it explains one other paradox. What would happen i you went back in time and killed your grandfather? This is a common paradox. The multiverse theory explains that whenever you travel to the past, you create another parallel universe, and you can't alter your own universe. It makes sense to me because it solves all of these paradoxes. And if you think that there is no proof, nothing in the world of science has "proof". Look at atoms, we know that they are tiny little things that make up matter, but the theory that electrons, protons, and neutrons exist is only a theory! we can't even see them! it's just an assumption.
I don't like that theory where every possible permutation is occurring in another universe like you just described. That is just to easy an answer for our questions. I may be wrong, but this theory may be an attempt to explain the total weirdness of quantum theory.
To change the subject, i do like the theory of parallel universes or by another name, the multiverse.
Other universes very close to us, but in another dimension. There was no big bang, just two universes colliding. The big bang theory is absurd, all known matter starting from a point the size of a proton?, no way. In other words, something can not come from nothing.
Though I'm not a paid up member of the "multiverse" theory fan club, it does offer an explanation as to how universes are created through Membrane theory.
However, your interpretation seems to assume an infinitude of universes within which exist doppelgangers of ourselves. Hmm.......does an infinite set of universes imply at least one "sister" planet Earth populated by exactly the same creatures at the time point in time? I don't think so. Why? because our existence as it is when it is and in what region if space it is, happened in unique circumstances spatially and temporally. Any other possible life-forms would exist as a result of their own unique circumstances. It would never be able to be replicated elsewhere or elsewhen. At least, that's my belief.
It does make sense ... why dont you read my book... I explain all of this stuff.
A parallel universe is simply a universe which has a different rate of time flow. It is possible to manipulate time so that indeed you may enter such a parallel universe. This is done by a correct application of quantum physics and electronics. If you travel at the speed iof light, you dont go Boom... you simply fade out of this universe and enter a "parallel" one !... :o)

i gotta say, the multiverse, multiple universes, or alternate dimensions theories have the same amount of proof to them as a buck toothed fairy farting pixie dust as an explanation to the origins or nature of our universe, and it's about as convienient. it lacks anything observable to even imply any such thing exists. and science is based on what is observed. philosophy, on the other hand, is based on things believed, but not observed or proven.
there are people who would say that the chalkboard math might make it work, but let's not forget that all the worlds mathemeticians thought that bumblebees couldn't possibly fly, either.
and let's face it, math is a form of language, and even math carefully worked out, can still coherantly describe something that doesn't exist. players of PnP roleplaying games can attest to this fact. you can have a whole table of math that describes an elf casting magical spells, but that doesn't make it reality. this multiverse, and string thoery junk, is just fiction from bored intellectuals.
They believe there is a universe similar to ours in another universe is is completely unpenetratable...
meaning we will never be able to have access to this universe at all since it is travelling at a parallel...
it is a really silly concept...
i think scientists are getting more madder and madder...
i doubt the universe is that complex.
i think the universe we live in is the only one that exists...
it is like trying to prove the earth is flat -- it isn't flat...
"Universe" is defined to be everything there is, or everything that is known, so you are proposing something more than everything. That is nonsense, although in a story it is covered by "suspension of disbelief".
