I'm sure Professor Martin Kemp, the world's reigning expert on Leonardo, would be just fascinated to know that YOU know exactly how long it took for Leonardo to paint Lisa's lips. Given that Leonardo kept the painting with him until his death -- a good 17-15 years or so after he started working on it -- we have no idea what he might have done to the lips or anything else in that long period of time.
But you seem to know, so do contact Professor Kemp on the subject. He'll be thrilled by your brilliance, unltil you tell him that you got the figure online insetad of from serious 16th-century archival documents written in 16th-century Italian.
No matter what you read online about the "Mona Lisa," don't believe it, unless it comes directly from a serious art historian who is an expert on Leonardo and the period.
I think Edgar Allen Poe was by far the best writer ever known!!! I mean his short story "The Tell Tale Heart" was amazing. His best poem though would be "Annabelle Lee". Most ppl think that Shakespeare was the best. I strongly disagree!

It took him about four year to paint the Mona Lisa, but how much time he spent of the lips is anyone guess.
