I would really like to know how much everything you need to get a cat costs. I have already figured out the food, bed, scratch post, ect. cost, but what about:
1. Neutering
2. Vaccinations (Initial and yearly)
3. Insurance (per week or month)
4. Micro-chipping
Around how much do all of these cost?
P.S. Don't give me an all together total please. How much for each of these separately?
Update:I live in the North East of England, how much does it cost roughly there?

I use a rural vet so my prices will probably be lower than those in the city
Neuter: $35 Spay: $45
Vaccinations: $22 per trip
Insurance: rates are different
Micro-chip: $12
Rabies: $10
Fecal test and deworming: $15
Frontline for fleas: $42 for 3 month supply
Call different vets and check different insurance polices because they don't all charge alike.
The simplest easiest way would be to call the vet you are going to use and ask them the exact cost for the neutering, initial vaccinations and then each year after. They should have all the information available about health insurance plans out there and microchipping as well. That way you have an exact itemization of charges. My vet might charge different than your vet. Trust me, when it comes to charges we had a vet who charged $200 in Atlanta, GA to pull an abcessed tooth on our cat, and where we live now it was only about $60. Big difference in costs. Also, you might consider inquiring how much a monthly flea control would cost (flea control is important) such as Frontline or Revolution for cats as well as the cost of dental cleaning once a year (dental health is important too). Our vet gave us a breakdown of all the charges involved with everything. Our vet performed the microchipping also. Best Wishes!!
