Okay I've been looking for a dog and I found this kind and it seems perfect but I don't have a bunch of money and I want one in good health with no diseases. How much would that cost
The going rate for a well-bred purebred seems to be in the $1000-2000 range these days (sometimes a bit less for a "pet quality" dog and often a bit more for a "show prospect"). Note that the purchase price of the dog is NOT the largest expense over the dog's lifetime - I estimate that it costs between $500-1000 annually to properly care for most dogs, and a bit more than that the first year for you one-time equipment purchases, all of their initial shots, and spay/neutering - and emergencies or health problems can easily run into the thousands.
A well-bred pup is worth it if you can't afford to later replace a hip ($2500+ per hip) or correct luxating patellas ($2500+ per knee) or pay for a professional behaviorist to make a lousy temperament livable and safe ($50-100+ per hour of private sessions). Rescue is also an option as an older dog can be directly assessed for their probably health and temperament, unlike a pup where you have to make an educated guess and are really just buying potential. A rescue dog will run in the $50-300 range and usually will be spayed/neutered, fully up to date on shots, and maybe even partially trained.
Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU69a
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
if you're getting it from a well known dog breeder (ie championship dogs/ AKC registered/etc) than it will cost you about 600-1200. if you're getting it from just a breeder maybe around 100-400.
