How much power does a Pyle PLMRA120 power amplifier draw?
I am building a custom system to take on "water" vacations with me. The system will use an Ipod for the source of the music, but I need the amplifier to power the 6x9 speakers that will produce the sound. I need to know much power will be consumed by the amplifier from a deep cycle 12V marine battery per hour so I can determine what my options are for making the entire system run continuously for approximately 8 hours.

A battery with 80AH should run it for at least 8 hours. It depends on what volume you run it at really. The most accurate way to tell is to hook it up and put an ammeter on it at the desired volume you are going to run it at. Then just divide the amp hours of your battery by what the amplifier was pulling. Hope this helps.
