i am selling a car into junk yard? how do notify DMV?
hi, my dad has just sold a car to the junk yard so how do we notify DMV? what documents or precedures do we have to follow? are there papers to fill out? please help me out on what i should do. i helped my dad fill out a form which seems to be an ownership/ address transfer. where must i mail it too? what post office? what if i mailed it to the wrong address ?

When you sell the car to the junk yard, you should have the title of the car as well. Give that to them and they will fill out the correct mileage. A signature of the registered owner of the car is need. That states that the owner now has no ownership of the car. The junk yard will then forward all the completed information to the DMV.

You don't have to do anything. Just give your title to the junk yard and sign the release form they give you. They will handle the DMV on their own.
