I'm from Green Bay, multiply the press by 10. It would be a huge deal.
There's no room for a big mouthed criminal in Green Bay. In fact, there's really no clubs to speak of, at least not like in NY for Plaxico to strut in. He would be hung out to dry by conservative Packer fans. Look at the Favre news, Green Bay has a way of getting their point into the press.
Just mainly look back on all the years of the Packers, they really haven't had any trouble makers. And if they did they were immediately released from the Green and Gold lap of luxury.
James Lofton wasn't able to side-step the scandal he was involved in. Chumura was hated as soon as his scandal was learned about. These are guys that did some things bad off the field, but never a burden to the team-but both gone in a flash. Plaxico would be done and the press would be all over it.
It would probably be a bigger deal in Green Bay, Wisconsin, since the Packers are the only professional sports team there, so all the attention is focused on the Packers. On the other hand, maybe Plaxico would not feel that he might get robbed and assaulted, so maybe he would not carry firearms as much, if he played in Green Bay.
It would probably still be a big deal because I think many are still focused on the Packers regardless of whether he were to play there or not. If he were playing there the press would still be increased because many are already looking at the Packers to see how they would fare without Brett Favre. In fact the Packers have been in the news for quite some time simply because Brett Favre left. If you add that with Burress playing in that city with him being in this kind of trouble then the press is magnified. But as you mentioned the city is not as crime filled as NY so his chances of being in that situation is minimized.
Yes, because he is an NFL player.
Remember when Brett Favre was trying to come back to Green Bay? That was a huge story.
Brett favre played in Green bay, and you know what happened there.
Plax wont play for the packers....they wouldent get tied up in his ****..besides hes going to jail for 4 years anyways. Giants arent gunna keep him either though..so when hes out of jail I wonder where he will go. this is a lot like the M. Vick situation.
if plaxico burress played hopefully someday in seattle or dallas
Their would be a SHOT at it.
