Lovely cars, my daughter is on her second, and fine for a (smallish) family.
Biggest problem - unless you can buy new, is finding a good one second-hand. By their very nature they tend to be 'driven' and driven hard. So make sure you don't buy a weekend ex-rally car that's been beaten to within an inch of it's life.
Best way is to buy from a dealer - pay a bit more, but a warranty on such a car could be 'priceless'.
The WRX is a fine car however, it is not a very large car which some couples who are expecting a child or two feel they need. I actually think the Subaru Forester would be a better choice come to think of it.
yes, its a great car if you love driving hard and at the same time having space for the rest of your family. also try the evo, or just the plain lancer, should be good too.

Get one now to get it out of your system. You will want more room when your family grows and you might not be able to use a WRX.
You KNOW that's what you wanted to hear, right?

Definitely, the hatch has pretty good trunk space, you can get a roof rack, four doors, roomy backseats, and a fun turbocharger for husband
