My mom is always freaking out about me sending pictures of myself out to random people and giving them my address. and ive been using a video camera to record me and/or my friends skating and she thinks im putting it on the internet. shes getting netnanny for pete's sake. Its really getting annoying. just wanted to know if im the only one that has to deal with this.
Update:and i dont tell random people my address... she thinks i will though. she thinks im gonna find a friend on facebook or whatever and invite him/her over.
Update 3:sorry, i wasnt very clear, i explained it like my mom was paranoid because i was sending pictures and giving people my adress. but shes just paranoid and she thinks that i send pictures and give people my address. she doesnt like me talking to most people unless she's met with them. like she'll sneak up behind me when im talking to my friend on Xfire ( a chat system and the friend is someone i know in real life). its already bad enough because shes trying to like "catch me in the act" and she shouts at me "WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?!?!" and im already like what the ***??? because she scared the **** out of me.
Update 5:i love my mom to death though. if something happened to her i would be lost, she can just get pretty annoying though

I can see why your mother is wanting to be protective of you. There are a lot of very weird people out there, and sometimes mom's and dad's have to do this to be protective of their children and teens.
You will thank them later in life, I know that you will not like it now, but they are doing it for your piece of mind.
I have heard of tons of different children, and teens that have had people actually come to their homes, and they haven't been nice either.

WOW! dude my mom is nothing like that, I have one of those cool laid back moms. You need to talk to her tell her that you are not giving out your address and that taking pictures is not bad tons of teens do it heck little kids do it too. It depends. Have you been sending pictures to random people online/giving out contact info(address, phone number?)? If yes, I think your mom should be watching. If not, talk to her about it.
