Is it possible to transfer data from a Mac to a PC?
I have over 4,000 songs on my Mac laptop and will get a PC in the near future. Is there an easy way to transfer the data from one computer to the other?
I suppose but if you already have a mac it would be a big mistake to buy a PC. After you use your new PC and you see how frustrating it is to use it, after its hard drive has been filled with viruses, worms, spy ware and the code hackers use to keep you from finding out what is wrong, you will go back to using your mac, so you might as well leave that stuff there.
Connect both to a router, or you can buy a special ethernet cable that allows 2 way data exchange. Turn on file sharing on the Mac. Look for your Mac on the PC under Networking, if it isn't there, try to add it. Then drag and drop everything.
except the no longer basic rigidity has the fat 32 record equipment, the Mac isn't waiting to study it. Apple desktops use the HFS record equipment and can study fat 32 yet can not study NTFS, that's what the known public of living house windows computers use. If the rigidity is NTFS, you may desire to place the no longer basic rigidity in an exterior rigidity, connect it to a living house windows pc and flow the records to a flash rigidity formatted with fat 32, which maximum flash drives are formatted as. then you could desire to flow the records on your new Mac.
i agree with cowboy c... i have been doing the PC thing since b4 there was even a standard DOS (windows 2 wasn't even a dream yet) and i've had it with PCs. when my computer dies i'm going Mac...
especially if you're going to a PC laptop... YIKES!!! Waive Off! Waive Off!!!
