According to the site above, Muller scored 1461 career goals vs Pele's 1284.
If you omit, friendlies, then Romario outscores Pele.
So has Pele really scored more goals than anyone else?
Atualizada:Steiner: I am not in the least suggesting that Muller was better than Pele. But Pele often alludes to his 1284 goals in support of his claim to be the greatest of all time. I'm just trying to show that argument is seriously flawed.

I don't know, but so what? Pelé was infinitely better than Muller. Pelé was a genious and Muller was just a good player.
And Wikipedia's information is not accurate. Those goals were not in unofficial games, but in official games in Brazil and other countries where Pelé played for Santos.
Edit.: it may be true that some other players scored more than Pelé. But anyway, Pelé is one of the players that scored most. And as far as I know, his 1284 goals were scored in official games, most of them when playing for Santos.

Pele Total Goals
Pele always claimed he scored over a 1,000 goals in his career. However many of these goals came in exhibition matches, friendlies and Testimonials. I think his total in competitive matches was round about 600.
Wikipedia isn't reliable. Try checking other places. But I'm sure Gerd outscored Pelé.
