She does seem a whole lot underweight. But, my beautiful Bengal is underweight for her breed, but she has short legs and a very short tail. Her vet judges her weight by her body structure and palpates her ribs and tells me what he wants her to weigh. She is 9 lbs which is low for a bengal, but her tummy is hanging down.

so go by your vets suggestions but use your own common sense. Are her bones sticking out? Is her tummy hanging. How is her activity? Eating, drinking OK? Using litter box OK.

No - either she's a product of inbreeding or she's very underweight. Even show Siamese kittens are bigger then that at 5 months old.

To the poster with the Bengal. FEMALE Bengals are not that large - I'm sure your girl is within the average. The males tend to go 12-14 lbs average, but the females are 8-11 lbs.

Did the vet say she was underweight or healthy? Siamese are not known for being that small, if she's under 2 lbs at 5 months I'd worry about her organ maturity and health of the bone structure.
