Whether or not something is derogatory is an opinion. If your question is asking about an opinion, there is no definitive answer because different people have different opinions. Thus, the answer is not 'no' but it is also not 'yes'.
However, the majority of people who do not (in my opinion) act like tremendous ***** think of that term as insulting.
I am not a "tranny" any more than I am a "hummy". I am a human who happens to be transsexual.
Sharing my opinion does not infringe on your rights to do the same. Please get over yourself.
Well, it depends on WHO is using it and HOW it is being used, no? Sort of like "dyke."
But "Douche" is definitely derogatory, so you are hardly in a position to lecture on etiquette if you post your question in an offensive manner. Just a wee bit hypocritical, don't you think?
I have to agree with ?. Personally, I find the term dismissive and demeaning. You certainly have the right to say it, but others have the equal right to respond.
Just out of curiosity, if you know someone finds a particular term offensive, why would you insist on using it? Are you so enamored of the word that you don't really care how others feel about it?
I find it it derogatory and that's the only way I've heard it used by the cisgendered outside of pornography. I don't even like when transwomen use it to describe themselves. I see it like the N word for black people or the C word for women. Just because they use it doesn't mean I like the implications of it any better.
You're a hypocrite. Guess what, that same free speech you're trying to voice, is not limited ONLY to you. That guy had the right of free speech to say that you're an offensive, piece of ****.
