Lakers get younger, better defensively, more athletic, and more production at PG and SF.
Celtics and Philly get some veteran leadership and experience.
Okay but in all seriousness, what do you think about the Lakers signing Arenas? Yeah he's 30, but not a dinosaur like Fisher. Yeah he brought guns into a locker room, but there are lots of angry and disappointed Lakers fans who will be bringing guns into the locker room if LAL loses to anymore Eastern Conference bottom dwellers. Yeah he's looking for a second chance, and he's got back into shape apparently. Yeah the Lakers can offer him a veteran's minimum to give him a shot. What's $800,000 to a payroll that already's $30 million over the cap? The Lakers would get to keep their core of Bryant, Gasol, Bynum. Worst case scenario, he's an $800,000 bust. Small potatoes compared to World Peace's production at just under $7 million a year.
Update:I know that Arenas has a bad history. He's 30, he's had liability issues, and he was awful in Orlando. But the idea that he could potentially impact the Lakers for an $800,000 salary (not even $800,000 considering theres like 20 games left) is tempting...
If there had to be a big trade, obviously Gasol goes. What I'm trying to work on is an alternative to giving him up.

LOL @ THIS TRADE - Celtics aren't going anywhere with Blake and Fisher especially letting go of a elite PG (rondo) for fisher (d-) blake (c-).
BQ: Arenas still has game but the last thing we need is aging players who fell out in the league.
Philly letting go of Iggy? In this specific moment when their HOT?
The Celtics giving away Rondo for Blake and WORLD PEACE?
Come on, even as a Laker fan, you have to realize that the Lakers aren't the only team in the NBA that wants good basketball players on their roster
And Gilbert Arenas is a huge risk, look at his late years in Washington and don't even get me started on what the hell he did in Orlando....
To be honest, the Lakers have to make big trades, not little things like this for role players, okay, the CP3 trade never went, but no need to give up, if you're willing to give up Fisher or Gasol, you might as well do it for small salary stars
I personally think Andrew Goudelock is the future of the Laker's PG position, I mean have you seen that guy play? Pretty stunning to say the least.
I doubt the Lakers will supply up Lamar, Gasol, Kobe, Bynum, and Derek Fisher...i do not study about some thing of the crew. i do not trust trading our gamers is the answer although.
The Lakers are getting ripped off big time. They should get some 1 round draft picks, too.
All Lakers have is Kobe , Bynum , Gasol...
the rest have no trade value
I guess Arenas didn't do that well during
the physical to training. that is why lakers
didn't sign them.
LMAO I love how Sixers & Celtics get absolutely nothing in return
