I was told by my OB the caffeine concern is more because it helps you dehydrate quicker, not because it will harm the baby.
So as long as you're drinking your water as well you're fine.
That's just bad for you in general, though I don't think it's dangerous for the baby in particular. I wouldn't worry about the caffeine as much as I would worry about the long term health effects of eating that much High Fructose Corn Syrup, which, in spite of the ads, does contribute to type II diabetes, and possibly also to gestational diabetes. Could you get your caffeine from coffee or tea instead? Both of those are healthier than soda pop.
I am avoiding sugar for the duration of this pregnancy because I would like to avoid having another 10.5 lb baby.
No its okay. Might make the baby kick yea lol but thats it.
Mcdonalds drinks also have water in it- like kind of watered down. Anyways just drink a lot of water and your fine to have your pop a day :)
my children's mother drank caffeine with all four of our children and they are fine. Most doctors will tell you to avoid caffeine but it is up to you in the long run, your not going to hurt your child drinking coke.
No, this will not harm your baby. I drank caffiene with both pregnancies bc it helped with the headaches.
Your fine. I drank it with my daughter and she just has a strong liking for soda lol :)
