a few months ago I bought a Minolta AFZ on ebay stating that it was in working condition. Once received I loaded my film and it made whirring noises and on the display it showed the number 1 for the first photo. I then put it in my bag to be used that night when out with friends however I ended up taking a different camera and forgot about the Minolta AFZ for quite a while. The other day I found it again and tried taking a picture however nothing happened, the button went down but nothing. I took my film out and put it back in but this time no whirring and it now says 0, I replaced the AAA batteries and it made a noise so I tried the film again but still nothing. now whenever the lens cover is open it blinks 0 a picture of what means 'normal mode' and target thing in the bottom left corner, when the lens is closed is just has the 0 and target thing blinking.

I'm just confused to how the first time I use it whirs and seems to work but now after a few weeks without any use its not advancing or taking pictures, should I just give up on it?
