So I bought a stereo system of a friend who has left the country and it works great and everything, but the first thing i noticed was that all the speakers were playing the same thing, its one big box in which the bass comes out of, and there are 5 seperate speakers. 1 central, one right front, 1 left front, 1 rear right, 1 rear left. I was wondering why when i play songs with 2 seperate audio trakcs for the right speaker and left speaker that each wasnt doing it. they would play both channels together out of all speakers. So there is an option on the big box that plays bass (can i get the correct name for this please) and there is a mode option. So i click on it and i can scroll through 4 options. F: , A: , C: , S: . Can you tell me what these mean? I toggled the levels of them abit on all of them just to get a guess on what they do. I have come to the conclusion that the S has something to do with the bass, it goes up when i turn it up. I figured that C was the central speaker. But the others i have no idea. The only thing i have seen strange about these settings is that i have been able to almost completely tune out the guitar track of songs, and sometimes even the vocal tracks so that its purely instrumental, can you guys define these letters please. I need help bigtime setting this up the best i can. Thanks in advance

You do not say what make of stereo you have. I'm assuming you did not get an owners manual with the stereo. Try going online and looking up the manufacturer's web site. Most electronic component manufacturer's have owner's manuals available online that you can look at and download. That big box that plays bass is probably a subwoofer. You really need the owner's manual to figure out all that stuff. If I knew who make the system you have, I could try to find that manual for you. You might want to try rephrasing your question to include the Manufacturer and what labels there are on the various ports that you see on the equipment. Generally a stereo system only has two ports so, I'm thinking that you might have a surround sound or quadraphonic system with a subwoofer. But, from your description, I have no idea what you are describing exactly. You can also try calling the manufacturer's support line. They all have a technical support line and many have a technical support email you can type a message to. So, try to find a web page for the manufacturer and find the SUPPORT section on that page and see if they have an owner's manual for that model that you can download or contact information for the support team.
