interview with roger mayweather today. check out what he had to say

"why is it oscar is not wanting to fight Floyd again"?.
He knows he got his a ss whooped that’s why. When he lost to Felix Trinidad he wanted a rematch for years, but you don’t see him saying he wants a rematch with Floyd now, do you? Now getting back to Shane and speed. People gonna write that Shane can match Floyd with speed. No way. Speed has nothing to do with it. Skill wins fights.
Those guys writing that sh*t don’t know nothing about boxing. It ain’t about how tough you are or how bad you are. It’s about skills. Skills will take the offense away from your opponent and allow you to counter them. You can be fast and swing all day, but you may not land sh*t so it don’t count in the end. Now for Mosley, all he has to do is come with the right money and you can get what you want. If Shane wants some, then OK. Money makes fights and that’s it

this will definitly be a good fight. for the most part i would have to agree with roger mayweather he is extremly to skilled for mosely. critics think that shane mosely will oppose a threat to mayweather but you can tell those people dont know sh!t about boxing. mayweather is a surgeon in the ring and never shows up to a fight with his (b) game always (a) theres really no competition out there for mayweather and oscar is a coward because he is afraid of mayweather.
De La Hoya has always been a coward & he isn't getting the Vegas style decisions he used to get when he lost to Pernell Whittaker, Felix Sturm, & Ike Quartey & were given the win. I think his business partner Bernard Hopkins took the fight & heart out of him with that body shot that he couldn't get up from. He doesn't want a rematch with Floyd because he did everything within his game plan & still lost by a lot worse margin than the scorecards were showing. I don't know if he will ever fight again, who is out there for him to fight? Hopkins killed him, Mosley whipped him twice. Name someone else. The only one I can think of would be Jermain Taylor & I say that because Jermain hasn't been looking very impressive lately & that's what Oscar does he takes on guys he knows or thinks he can beat. He just doesn't go fight the best guy out there. If you think about it when he beat down Ricardo Mayorga he was taylor made for Oscar. No boxing skills, comes forward, stands in front of you & throws wild punches. How come he didn't ask for a rematch with Felix Sturm or Bernard Hopkins I'll tell you why cause he can't beat those fighters & he knows the same about Floyd!!!
You can expect that kind of talk from Roger Mayweather. That's just how he is, but the truth is that Floyd didn't kick Oscar's butt like he said would. He didn't come to fight. Floyd's plan all along was to box and outpoint Oscar, and that's what he did. Calling Oscar a "coward" is a joke to me. This guy has never ducked any opponent and has taken on the best of his era, win or lose. So why would be be "afraid" of Floyd, who didn't hurt him, knock him down, or do any damage at all to him? That just doesn't make sense to me at all to me. It takes two willing fighters to make a great fight, and as good as Floyd's skills are, he'll always fight the same against Oscar if they fought 10 times because he's just not going to take chances and sellout to win a fight, that's just not his style. If Oscar fights again next spring as has been rumored, look for him to fight Miguel Cotto if Cotto keeps winning and stays unbeaten and that would be a mega-fight and probably Oscar's last.
Why would Oscar want to fight Floyd again? He clearly showed that he is not what he used to be and that Floyd is not as good as everyone thought he was. there is no upside to fighting Floyd once more, Floyd only want the money. If Floyd wanted a real fight, a true challenge there are a lot of great fights out there, including an undefeated Miguel Cotto and Mosley with good speed, footwork and greater power.
Finally, if Floyd is defensive against an old Oscar, Cotto's pressure would be too much. The only thing the De la Hoya fight proved was that in his prime he would of destroyed Floyd, I was at the fight, and Floyd was disappointing.
Why do people have to be so mean and nasty on here? Just make your point people. Floyd Jr. is too good for anyone under 154 lbs. right now. Period. Oscar doesn't duck anyone. He has such an enormous fan base exactly because of that. Shane can be tough for anyone on any given night and he still has some good fights in him. The one I would liek to see is Sugar Man against Miguel Cotto! That would be a barnburner! Hatton beats Castillo and then loses to Junior Witter and it will be Barry McGuigan all over again. Sorry.
Mayweather is all hype. He has fought no one except for De La Hoya to date. Maywether "scored" a victory that is about it. He boxed like it was an Olympic bout, looking for points. He style is garbage he isn't worthy of being mentioned with any great fighter. For someone who has "Skill" he sure doesn't display it. If you have some much talent display it and box, throw some punches, a combo would be nice. He should have brought his waltzing shoes to the De La Hoya fight, he would to the same w/Shane Mosley.
Oscar is way past his prime and the fact that he exceeded his own expectations against the "so called" best ppound for pound fighter of today says a lot. Oscar has never ducked anyone, but the fact is Mayweather didn't make it an exciting fight. It certainly isn't one I want to see again. The only action of the fight is when Oscar chased Mayweather down and cornered him on the ropes. If Oscar is going to fight again he is going to take a fight that will be exciting for fans not one that puts them to sleep. Oscar isn't afraid of losing or fighting a better fighter he just wants it to be good for the sport of boxing. Mayweather is the one who has hand picked opponents preferring to fight paper champions and older fighters instead of the best in each weight class. Neither one is a coward but there is nothing that would change if they fought again so what is the point?
First of all, the real roger mayweather doesn't speak that clearly. Second, Floyd cheated boxing fans out of their hard earned money by saying he was going to kick Oscar's a*s and then ran like a little bit*h. We won't be fooled again. Floyd needs to come out and fight for free to pay us back. He needs to fight Kelly Pavlik on ESPN so everyone can watch Pavlik shut his yappin' little trap for good.
If i was Delahoya I would duck floyd too. Shane is a matchup nightmare for oscar. In the last fight Shane gameplanned him to death. Oscar landed about 25% of his punches and of those landed only about 3 landed cleanly. If Delahoya were to get back in the ring with Shane he would be exposed once again. As long as Floyd sticks and moves. and stays away from dela hoya, floyd will win.
Shane needs not fight Floyd. I used to like Shane but my guy Floyd will destroy him. that would not be a good fight. Like Floyd said about a year ago "I will go through shane to get to his boss (oscar)" If he handled oscar so easily shane doesn't stand a chance. AT the moment no boxer in the game is as fast nor as skillfully sound as the pretty boy. They need to let him retire, and leave him alone.
Mayweather is just a dancer not a fighter oscar dont want to fight someone who dont wanna fight.Mayweather said he was gonna go toe to toe with oscar and beat him silly, he didnt do any of that. couldnt even throw a 3 punch combanation casue he was scared to get hurt by oscars left hook. im glad hes retierd hes just a boring *** boxer to watch.Oscar is coming gonna fight again but not with chicken boy floyd. theirs better fights oscar can make (cottto, hatton, winky, cintron, margarito, clottey, williams)
Floyed is the real coward here insted of fighting guys who come off loses, old age or no longer in their prime he should fight the guys i just mention, the real threats
