Now us Penguin fans can stop the Winger-talk... Thank you Shero. You finished my "X-mas Deadline wishes."
The past few weeks I've been saying, we need to get Malkin a winger, not Crosby. And once again... Shero uses his magic.
Good deal for both sides... Caputi has the potential to be a top 6 forward, I always envisioned him to be a 3rd line guy for us, but should be a good player in the NHL. I don't think he would of made the NHL roster for us next year, it would have taken a hell of a performance out of training camp. He would of made our roster by mid-season of 2011 at the earliest.
Now this begs the question... will the Capitals/Flyers/Devils try to "up" us before tomorrow's deadline has past?
I heard the Penguins gave up on Caputi, one analyst during the Olympic break said to look for him to be moved because the Penguins weren't impressed with his skating.............and I just read on TSN from a Pens fan that he thought it looked like Caputi was skating in quicksand. Shero may have pulled the wool over Burke's eyes (the silver medal has blinded Burke I guess)

I also heard about this trade, Penguins needed a scoring winger for Crosby and Malkin. And salary reasons.
I bet Eklund was no where close to that deal.
His was probably:
Flyers
Ponikarovsky
Leafs:
Patrick Maroon
3rd Round
Kevin Marshall(e2)
Wow. Talk about a win.
according to darren dreger and bob mckenzie yes.
