Quick assistance for wiring a car system?
ok so I have two amps. one is a 2 channel that is 500 watts and the other is 400 watts at 4 channels. instead of having two power cables:
-I want to just use one. for under the hood, is 2 gauge good ?
-from the distributor is 8 gauge good going to amps?
where and what fuses would I use?

Those wire sizes will be fine. As far as fuses go. you need a fuse at the battery, And always use a fused distribution block. The fuse at the Battery protects against shorts in the 2 gauge wire, and the fused block protects the 8 gauge wires.
