Hi,
I am a real estate investor. I have a 6-plex in a city 3 hours from me. Therefore, I have a property manager who is taking care of the property. He is great!
He has a secretary who is nice too and prepares the invoices.
I want to thank him and send him a present in the mail like $50 to a good restaurant.
I cant afford 2 gifts and less than $50 is too little to a property manager for this type of responsibility. My question is should I mention only his name on the card/envelope or him and his secretary?
I want her to feel good too but he does like 90% and she does 10%.
so..I plan to send one mail (and she opens his mail as his secretary?
bottom line what would you do? mention her name in the holiday greeting or not? intend for the restaurant card to be for/be used by both of them or just the property manager?
THANKS

Two things:
1) You are property rich, and cash poor. Never a good thing. This is why I never purchased real estate, because I realized it's only good for PRESERVING wealth, not creating it. Once I get up to the millions range, I'll invest in buildings for long term wealth preservation.
2) As far as the gift, just make it out to his company, and put his name. Let him do what he will with the gift card. You don't have to thank employees, unless she was exclusively doing the work for you, such as if it was a Financial Adviser.
