my 10 week old puppy had a dewormer today. Liquid injected by mouth. She is having more bowl movements than normal and her stool is a little soft, some dripping but not diarrhea. Is this a side effect of the dewormer? And she's doing the little butt scoot or drag A LOT, her fecal exam tested negative for any internal parasites today. So what gives? Should I have her hair hiney hair trimmed or anal glands checked?

side effects of a dewormer can be diarrhea so i know that is normal
My guess would be it is the dewormer doing it's job. Even though a fecal may be negative- it can just mean no worm eggs were shed in that sample, that is why pups are given a general dewormer also
good job for you of taking care of your pet's health- and yours, some worms can be passed to humans
Call your vet and see. Scooting is caused by full/impacted anal glands, and the dog's groomer can express them.
