Tricks to Algebra?
for FACTORING:
if the equation is x2 + 4x + 4 = 0
then when foiling it would also be + +
when its - + then then for foiling it would be - -?
anybody know this trick? i learned it a while back and i cant remeber it all!

x^2 + bx + c = (x+a)(x+d)
x^2 - bx + c = (x-a)(x-d)
x^2 - bx - c = (x-a)(x+d)
If the constant term is positive, and the coefficient of x is positive, then both signs will be positive.
If the constant term is positive, and the coefficient of x is negative, then both signs will be negative.
If the constant term is negative, then the signs will be opposite.
