I changed the convergence chips, etc. but the the screen is still distorted. The directions for fixing the problem said to put the settings back to the factory settings, and then change the convergence lines. I do not have the remote and cannot find the convergence setting or the option to change it back to factory settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Atualizada:Actually I don't have much electoronic experience, wanted the t.v. to work so I got a kit to replace the chips, and looked the manual online. Just wondering if I needed a remote to fix the convergence on the television. I used the menu button on the front of the tv but the convergence option does not show up under setup and I did not know if I needed the remote to put it back to factory settings......

If you have been in there changing chips you must have some electronics experience and own the service manual. You would also know that you can buy original remote controls online at many different places (google for them). The service manual you have has the codes that you input to the remote for service adjustments which include convergence. If you don't have the service manual, these are available online also. The other alternative is contacting a competent service facility for estimate and possible repair.
