Solve the following absolute value inequality.
3|2(x+5)|=6
Im getting -4 and 6...but the answer says its supposed to be a negative 6....what did I do wrong?
3|2(x + 5)| = 6
|2(x + 5)| = 6/3
|2(x + 5)| = 2
2(x + 5) = 2
or
2(x + 5) = -2
x + 5 = 1
x = 1 - 5
x = -4
2(x+5) = -2
x + 5 = -1
x = -1 - 5
