upgrade my camera or my lens olympus?
i have a e 420 and the kit lens the 40-150 and 70-300... but i need more out of my camera now so would i be better getting the 50mm f2 or the e600/e620?

What is it that you need more of? If you're not satisfied with the camera's noise (high iso) performance, then getting a new camera may help. If you find that you want a shallower depth-of-field and want to shoot macro as well, then getting that 50mm f/2 lens will help a lot more than a new body.
