I have a 2000 Buick LeSabre with close to 200,000 miles on it. I was driving on the freeway and the car started jerking. After a minute or so it stopped accelerating and the power steering and A/C stopped working. I pulled the car over and restarted it. It would then drive for a few minutes doing about 30 mph and the same thing would happen. I was able to get it to a mechanic but they can't replicate the problem and say it is working fine. Please help.

#1. Change the fuel filter first.
#2. Have a trusted private mechanic test the fuel pressure on the fuel rail pressure fitting beside the injector nozzles. The fuel filter must be clean to allow the fuel pump to give a fair fuel pressure test.
One of the computer chips has a bad connection or is going bad. I once had my Jeep with 300k on it every light on the dash was on, then it would not go over 10 mph, Shut it off, restarted it and it has never done it sense. Take it to a dealer, they have diagnostics that they can run. costs a bit, but if any repairs are needed that cost is off the total.
If you can find a good mechanic who can read an OBD diagnostic data stream and go into non check engine light history data, they can usually pinpoint the problem. It can be a bit tricky to read, but can be done.
If it can't be replicated, I'd bet on a loose connection somewhere. It will probably happen again, very hard to find some of these.
