I agree with the other two commenters. I have an RX8 and I love it so much, but it takes a lot of maintenance and is very quirky. For instance, the engine has to be on for at least five minutes at a time. If you move your car in the driveway and turn it off immediately, it will flood the engine and you'll have to call a tow truck. It's very temperamental, especially in the cold. Truthfully, it's better suited as a second car, not a primary vehicle.
If you're set on getting the RX8 and are committed to taking care of it, you'll LOVE it. It is simply awesome to drive. There's nothing quite like it. It handles like a dream and is very fast.
properly, greater instances than no longer the BMW will in all probability be a speedier vehicle (and greater high priced) different than in situations of say the Mazda RX7 or perhaps the greater present day RX8 which has an outstandingly magnificent rotary engine that's super effective.

take off the bmw will be ahead of you, but once you hit over 5,000RPM the rx8 will fly.
take it on a bendy road, and you'll love the RX8 more than anything.
and agreed with the guy above, do ALOT of research !
If manual, the Rx8
Please research the Rx8 before buying it though, i'm a huge fan of them but non piston engines aren't for everyone.
