She's had underdeveloped strength. I always found a shy girl in anime to have such great potential over the robust, loud, and outgoing girl. She's always easily underestimated because of that but she's humble when she shows her true strength. I just adore that about Hinata.
The reason why I didn't choose the other girls...
Sakura: Her obsession with Sasuke
Ino: I think it's her power and her character overall that doesn't impress me. She'd shine more if she wasn't in Sakura's shadow
Tenten: Poor girl doesn't even have a last name...I consider her an underdeveloped character
Also I think the show reflects so much on Naruto that there's no room for anyone else to grow. Naruto's progression is so great that no one else can top it. It's rare to have a flashback about any other character outside of the immediate group surrounding Naruto.
She and Naruto have the most realistic development of all the choices. They have grown together, cried together, laughed together, bled together. They know the intimates of each other. Sakura has a bond far deeper with Naruto than the rest do. Tenten, Ino, and Hinata all only know what the rest of the village knows about Naruto. None of them know him like Sakura does.
Both have risked life and friendship for the other person.
Neither is perfect; again, the realism of Naruto and Sakura comes through by far more than the other choices. Each has made mistakes but they still are always there for each other.
It's fun to see how Naruto and Sakura's relationship has mirrored Minato and Kushina's as well. Not to mention, Sakura's parents. It's even more fun to see how many characters approve of Naruto and Sakura in series. We've got Tsunade, Jiraiya, Yamato, Iruka, Minato, Kushina, Sai, and to a large extent, Sasuke. And that's not even getting into the D-Listers.
Then there is the fact that world-wide, there are more NaruSaku fans than any other. Even in Japan, NaruSaku is the preferred couple; so much so that they hold annual NaruSaku conventions of which Kishimoto attends.
Seeing a relationship develop naturally is far better than a Disney romance.

I would prefer Lady Chiyo for Naruto.
