Actually, they are just following the example of the first Apostate, Satan the Devil.

Satan left Jehovah's organization, but he was not satisfied with that. From then on, he has openly opposed Jehovah God and has spread lies and falsehoods about God and those who serve Him.

Satan has tried to deceive mankind into believing that he is benevolent, and just wishes "freedom" for humanity, allowing everybody to decide for themselves what is good or bad. Human apostates do the same thing.

I think it bothers some apostates that just because they chose to leave, the majority of Jehovah's Witnesses have not followed them in their disloyalty. We stand united in condemnation of the course the apostates follow. I think this gets at them.

It was prophesied that there would be apostates. But the Truth keeps standing. The apostate Satan has not overthrown God, and apostate humans have not overthrown the Truth.

1. This is a PUBLIC question & answer forum, so if a question is asked, and any person feels that they have personal knowledge as to the truth about the subject, they have every right to answer. Any questioner who wants a thorough answer and desires to hear more than one side of the issue welcomes differing opinions.

2. If people disagree with your beliefs, why do you consider it degradation and bashing? Witnesses most certainly come here and preach about beliefs that are contradictory to what they learned as Baptists, Catholics, etc., yet those other religions don’t claim persecution. Every other religion doesn't claim that you are disrespecting them just because JWs believe that every other religion is wrong.

3. In law school, we learned that the first and most successful defense to a defamation claim is TRUTH. i.e. It’s not defamation/slander/bashing if it’s true.

4. I have witnessed disrespect from those on both sides of the issue, and I don’t think that anyone should disrespect anyone else. That being said, just because someone says something negative about your beliefs or your organization, doesn’t automatically constitute disrespect. Especially if what they say is true.

No matter who/where/what you are, someone is always going to disagree with you. Since this alleged “persecution” is “the sign that you are the One True Religion”, it looks like you guys better get used to it and get some thicker skin.

For whatever reason...Once a Witness, always a Witness. The ones that are no longer associated with us left for their own reasons. Or maybe they were put out because of unchristian conduct. If they want to get back to Jehovah they know they have to talk to the elders and attend the meetings.

It is not hard to swallow...your pride that is. It's easier to take than thinking what will happen to you if you don't.

But then again, death will be swift. God said he will not torture anyone.

When a person repents and is once again in the flock the love he had at first is returned. And the friends welcome him without reservations.

Remember the illustration about the hand..when you point a finger at someone...you have 4 pointing back at yourself.

take the rafter out of your own eye so you can see clearly how to extract the straw from your brothers eye.

Jesus warned about such apostates and how they'd not only mislead and hurt themselves, but try to mislead others by making up lies and slander about his followers. remember Matthew 7:15-16. He warned true Christians to not even talk or to sit with such ones. (1 Corinthians 5:11-13.)

Romans 16:17-18 is a good reminder, and a personal favorite, to avoid such ones.

remember these ones are just imitators of the traits outlined at 2 timothy 3:1-5 and out of pride and self exaltation think they can justly and ignorantly attack god's teachings, and will unlikely change from their attitude. It's best to just ignore such ones and not even bother answering their apostolic questions, for they wont listen anyways.

Instead, we should focus on the questions asked by those who truelly want bible-based answers for their questions, and those actually open to what the bible has to say.

Many ex-[whatevers] feel a need to speak out against what they used to believe, perhaps because they feel like they were lied to. This includes those who continue to believe in God, as well as those who do not. Also, because many people have a difficulty in proving their own belief system to be correct, it makes them feel justified by pointing out the faults they see in others. A lot of ex's like to speak evil of their former religion, and unfortunately they could care less if the things they say are accurate. This only adds fuel to the fire in blinding sincere seekers from knowing the truth about any given religion.

Baptists , Catholics, Protestants probably will be saved by the blood of the lamb..Not so sure about the Jehovah's Witnesses, that is why.

the Witnesses are not being attacked..The mouthpiece for which you proclaim your salvation, namely the WBTS is.

Also a lot of us were abused in the name of religion in the homes and Kingdom halls and needed to spend years deprogramming, and learning to think for ourselves. From the age of 8, I planned a way to end my life so Jehovah could not destroy me in his way...that is why.

I finally got my mind back, and if I can help one person who is suffering, out of this cult and into saving Grace, then I will do so, That is why.

Look at Debbie above me..she can not even comprehend that someone can actually leave....and not believe the way she believes...this is scary.

Why do Jehovahs Witnesses name call and label us Apostates? We do not call them Idiot drones.

Jesus told us that we would be hated just as he was hated. (John 15:17-19)  “These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another.  If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU.  If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU.

I do not give any of the ones trying bash us the satisfaction of getting a reply from me. I ignore them.

I'm not just saying that to be mean. That "religion" is seriously messed up. I have read your publications and it bothers me how much misinformation and lies they feed you. No organization that relies on lies to keep their followers in line is positive.
