Since I was very young I have had the most terrible needle phobia. People are always telling me that 'nobody likes needles' or that they 'don't hurt' or 'I'm a little scared too', but when I say phobia I mean serious problem. I'm reaching my twenties and decided to start trying to get over it, so I recently had my ears pierced. I was nervous to start with but I had it done, and it didn't hurt at all. Nevertheless, about five seconds after I began to feel incredibly dizzy and nauseated, and although I managed to not throw up I passed out for a few seconds. The whole thing was involuntary and I have no idea why it happened because I had been perfectly fine, even relieved, only seconds before. Is it the phobia that made me ill?

Probably just a backlash of said phobia. It'll keep diminishing as time goes on.
