why does my amp go into protect mode?
i have 2 12 inch alpine type r running on a 1000watt rms hifonics amp and the amp plays and bumps but when i turn it up to high volumes it goes into protect mode ive had this setup for a year and it never used to do that i rewired everything including ground power rcas speaker wire subs. i tried many times to fix it could this be the amp or is my battery any suggestions please

hi, when this happens its because of either a shortage somewhere in the wiring or over-heating of the amp.
you say you have checked and re-wired so it can;t be that which leads me too the later.
does your amp get hot??? what level, loud or even on low volumes. if it gets hot all the time, its your amp which is gone, probable from pushing it too hard. if only when you go loud, it means you are pushing it too hard., so you should lower the gain and adjust HU settings accordingly.
if it is because of over heating, this damages components inside the amp, which is a big issue, as it can lead to a dead amp.
