several good answers BUT cardboard will locate the leak if plced under the car. If U hve a garage- park in the sameplace by placing a block etc so the frontwheels bmps- use the wall as a refrence. If the seal(fron or back) was leaking it would be more than the drop you indicate. The oil plug possiblyneeds a new gasket- some are plastic, others brass and overtightening the plug ruins that gasket. The car has several places for a small leak. Perhaps a valve cover has a loose bolt or the oil pan has a few bolts that need torqued but U did that so maybe the gasket is bad.Sorry, my uter eats the next etter- so mispleed words or ran together words are the pc.
Check the drain plug in the pan; these tend to leak over time, the screw thread wears out in the pan boss and you can get oversize plugs for the most common plug sizes. Either front or rear main seal is another common point for leakage, and more likely than a leaking pan gasket. The oil that drips is not from the greasy residue that remains on the pan and engine block - it is from a leak.
Clean off under your car entirely; Take it to the carwash and get a underbody blast.
Then towel off the water and put kitty litter under your car to see where it is leaking.
You can try using perma-tex gasket sealer on the outside to see if it works for a temporary fix; but if you want to do it right, you may want to find a garage.
For oil, it's usually your front or rear seal; rarely the pan or plug.
