Why is my poodle tempermental ?
I have a 6 year old poodle that is always barking or growling at the other dogs. I have 5 all together. I think it's jealousy but I am not sure. He is very loving, and he is the dominant male, but I have a dominant female too. He knows that my husband and I are the Human Dominance in the household that is not a problem, but when it comes to the other dogs that is another story. How can I train him to not growl so much at the others ? Is this also an issue with obedience ?

its not jealousy and its not behavioral owners come into my clinic with this issue all the time. All animals have a system of dominance you cant have two alpha dogs in one pack he i growling because the other dog is pressing his position. You must reinforce his position. When feeding. Feed him before the rest when playing give him the toy and attention first. Same with distributing treats. We as humans want equality but in animal cases it isnt just. This should solve your issue. Reinforce the alpha dog and let the female dog know that she is the omega.
You need to contact a behaviorist or take him to training classes. He could also stand to be socialized more.
