ok I was playing call of duty 4 withy newly installed Hd 5770. It was at a resolution of 1680x1050 all high settings no AA and I get frames of 26-48. I looked around and found out that I should be getting about 60 or more. So I looked at the video card programing and saw the over clocked part wad normal is core clock 850 , memory 1200. But the card values is 400 clock ,memory 1200 so is that the problem if so tell me how to fix it. One more thing could be wrong I have a pci 16x but the card is pci 2.0 so could that be slowing down or what. So if you got eny ideas. Thanks

ATI PowerPlay technology is designed to enable power saving profiles that help reduce power consumption when the GPU is idle or in minimal use in comparison to previous AMD products. This dynamic power management enables the GPU to automatically adjust power between low, medium and high states for a tremendous power efficiency advantage. For example, when receiving and composing emails little demand is on the GPU and it runs in a low state, whereas when gaming, there is high demand on the graphics engine and the GPU runs in a high state.
well, it could be many things. is the problem only on call of duty? try another game and see if that's your problem. are your drivers up to date? http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index....
download and install newest version. your processor could be bottlenecking, but any dual core or higher single core will be fine for cod4. the low clock speed is probably due to ati's underclocking technology which underclocks the card to save electricity when not in use. maybe it isn't clocking back up to speed, and this could also be a driver issue. if anything, try installing new drivers, try catalyst 10.4.
good luck :Do
Couple issues. Do you have a snap shots Button on the visual reveal unit or distant (if there is one)? This variations length of what's exhibiting on the reveal screen. 2nd did you place in the entire Catalyst supervisor? if so top click on the ATI emblem via the clock and left click Catalyst administration center. in the better left click pics and click laptop And reflects in the drop down field. top click on the visual reveal unit and left click Configure. in case you're utilising a VGA you will desire to click the diversities Tab and use those arrows to place and improve. in case you're utilising a DVI you will desire to click on the Scaling recommendations tab and use the slider. what's going to finally end up maximum probable going on is you will use the two the snap shots Button and the Catalyst administration center to get what you opt for. via ways I very own this card and use it with a 37" Sanyo HDTV. For the main area i like it. wish this helps. reliable success.
You should be able to overclock your card with Catalyst Control Center if you installed it for your card.
you will be able to get 60 or more if you overclock it, otherwise theres nothing wrong with your card, its not the PCI slot
