A couple Algebra word problems?

I think I'm doing the steps right, but just wanted to make sure.

For the past two years, Ted sold $125,000 in merchandise. This year he sold $5 less than twice as much as he sold last year. Let n = the number he sold last year. Write the equation showing the amount he sold for both years.

On two traveling days, Janine drove 560 miles total. On Tuesday, she drove 100 miles more than half the distance she drove on Saturday. Let S = the number of miles driven on Saturday. Write an equation showing the total number of miles she drove on those two days.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
