Basically last September I had a runaway diesel, I cleaned out the air intake to the turbo as it had oil in it and it worked as normal (ish).
The engine is louder, a lot louder when it reaches 2000rpm and over.
No other issues until yesterday I stopped at traffic lights in neutral and the car revved up to 2500rpm on its own 2/3 times.
Ive took it into Vauxhall and they test drove it and said its fine which I’m not convinced about.
After the runaway diesel in September it had its ‘big service’ which should of replaced the fuel and oil filter etc.

Engine runaway on a diesel engine can be due to engine oil mixing with the intake air (most common on Renault's 1.9dCi F9Qt engine). The most likely cause of this is worn oil seals within the turbocharger.
This would lead to oil in the pipes between the turbocharger and the intake manifold (on the output side of the turbocharger), but not on the intake side of the turbocharger as you mentioned.
A partially blocked breather pipe from crankcase to air intake / air cleaner box might lead to oil occasionally entering the intake system when crankcase pressure reaches a point where it overcomes the blockage, which would cause occasional surging or runaway behaviour. I suggest you investigate this.
The other thing to check is that your Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is not sticking. This could be the cause of the extra noise, and could cause overheating of the turbo oil seals leading to failure.
