It's fine. It should fall off anytime now.
When my oldest son was littel the same thing happened, of course i freaked out though. My doctor said it was not bad just to clean it a littel better. Also no to let it dry afterwards, before covering it back up. And never let it come in contact with water. Congrats with your new addition. :)
You shouldn`t be overly concerned about a bit of blood, if it`s uncontrollable gushing be alarmed. Keep in mind it`s like a scab, it will bleed a bit and puss a bit, but it will dry up really soon and fall off.
OMG!! CONGRATULATIONS, Princess ................and............... WELCOME TO the international, Little Princess... do no longer worry with regards to the umbilical twine bleeding somewhat. this is common. attempt to fold her diaper down each and every so frequently.... to allow it air somewhat. it's going to be falling off quickly.... in many situations in 10 to fourteen days... or so. besides conserving it sparkling and as dry as conceivable, there is not any longer plenty else you may desire to do. it would be effective. ok then.... be effective, while she wakes up for her next feeding, to offer her a hug from her Y!a super Auntie. Will ya? Btw.......... How are you doing?
Its normal for it to be a bit bloody and gooey as it looses up to fall off.
although it didnt happen with my daughter, my friend just had and baby and she's two weeks, her cord also had blood around it, she took her to the doctor and they told her it was ok, just to watch it.....but if you're worried call the on call nurse at his doctors office to ease your mind...congrats on your baby boy!
