I am in college, on track for a Bachelor's degree in English. I have been doing research on becoming a Paralegal and I have a few questions.
Is it a good career?
If I majored in English, would that help?
How many days would I work in a week?
Could I work with juvenile cases?
Thank you in advance!

As far as I know, about the only thing you can do with a degree in English is teach it, or become a writer.
Most paralegal jobs only pay minimum wage and those jobs are being taken by all of the thousands of young lawyers who can't get hired by law firms due to the huge glut in the legal field. Law schools are turning out lawyers by the thousands each year and there are no jobs for them, so they are taking the paralegal and secretarial jobs. Lawyers are a dime a dozen.
If you decide on becoming a paralegal, you're going to find tough competition. Also, you might find living on minimum wage impossible. Good luck.
Go for your nearest tuition/institution and research Paralegal Studies. Most employers (more commonly regulation corporations) STRONGLY select staff with bachelors levels, and a few may not recall whatever much less. Those "certificates" methods are simply scams - the "Certificate" may not be valued at the paper it's revealed on. I additionally suppose you could have no thought what you are getting your self into. Jobs within the subject of Law are drying up FAST!! This isn't a well subject to take a position time and/or cash in. Many motives. People (mistakenly) suppose they are able to do their possess authorized paintings now way to the Internet. Also, we've got WAY TOO MANY Legal Professionals - we've got a GLUT!! ("Legal Professionals" involves, however isn't confined to: Attorneys/Lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, and many others, and many others.) The task marketplace for the subject of Law is SHRINKING - that's it - simple and sensible. Now the regulation faculties may not inform you the reality > that the marketplace/economic climate is SATURATED. The regulation faculties will feed you a fairytale. Law faculties LOVE regulation pupils - a regulation scholar is effortless cash for a regulation university - a regulation university has to make little or no funding in a regulation scholar, in comparison to different places of research. What this implies is that when you conclude your stories, you will not be in a position to uncover a role. Since the task marketplace within the subject of Law is shrinking so speedy, there are MANY Attorneys/Lawyers running "down" as Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, and many others, simply to take a look at to pay a few of THEIR costs < THIS will probably be your festival. And the contest is FIERCE! Now, for those who wish a JOB while you're performed along with your stories, appear into and recall the subject of HEALTHCARE!< THIS is wherein the roles are! and scholarships! Good success.
