I just inherited a 1991 Chevy Corsica Automatic 4 cylinder car. I went to drive it today and it won't start. I don't have the dashboard lights coming on, the cabin lights, not even the clock is on when I try to start it. I think it's the battery because it's not even making a clicking noise as I turn the key, however a friend of mine says it's the starter. Anyone know what it might be?

It could be either.
If you don't have jumper cables, buy some and try to jump start the car. If that works, it's probably the battery - get it tested. If not, it certainly could be the started.
It's probably the battery. If it was the starter, you'd have dash lights and so forth but it wouldn't start because the starter wasn't engaging.
Try jumping the vehicle to get it started. If it's been sitting for awhile, it just might need to run for 30 to 45 minutes to recharge the battery. If it doesn't start after letting it run for a time, then the battery is not holding a charge. Change the battery but have the alternator tested to make sure that is working properly. If the alternator is not sending a charge to the battery to hold, that's your issue. The battery can't hold what it's not being given. A lot of auto parts stores will test an alternator for free especially if you buy the battery from them. They will even install the battery for you.
Corsica. It's better built, and the 2.2L OHV is a much more reliable engine and it's the same engine that's in the Cavalier.
Battery ! you must have energy to get all these things to come on.
No it's not the starter, this is a crappy engine that was made and you have one. Sorry !
your lights should come on no matter what your starter wont have anything to do with that . i would ask someone for a jump and go from there.
