I have a 96 dodge stratus, a few weeks ago after being away for the weekend it started up and stalled about a mile down the road. My first instinct was to change the timing/serpentine belt as I was aware it was already in bad condition. That didn't work so I replaced fuses and switched around relay fuses but to no avail. I next replaced the fuel pump, which was more work then expected-no go. I replaced the battery-something I should have done earlier-no go. Finally I replaced the starter and starter solenoid-didn't work. As you can tell I really don't want to take it in with fears of hundreds of dollars in labor, the parts I replaced needed to be replaced anyways, I had the help of a mechanic and it hasn't hurt the pocketbook as much as taking it in would have. When i turn the key, it tries to start, it does more than just click but it just won't start up. I'm not much of a car person, I've learned how to replace these parts which is cool but I can't figure out what is going on. Any suggestions besides taking it in to the shop? Thanks!

How about the crank position sensor? Have you checked the spark plugs?
