I recently got my cartilage pierced and had to take it out. The whole closed a little and I can't get the ear ring back in( I know I am not suppose to take the ear ring out but I really did have to). I am thinking of repiercing it. Can I pierce it in the same spot even because the whole isn't completly closed? Any help would be nice!
Update:I took it out because of a wedding( My mom didn't want my cartilage ring in during it, my mom is just wierd like that). It was not infected because I cleaned like 4 times a day. I still clean it because there is still a little whole there and I don't want it to get infected.

ya you can pierce it in the same spot
If you took it out because of infection there is a chance that if you pierce it again the infection will return
If you want to try it again Get some ice and numb the area your want to re-pierce sterilize a needle and go for it.
Put an anti-biotic cream like neosporin on your ear ring and put it in.
Every day make sure you keep area clean by using peroxide to keep any germs from infecting it.
If this doesn't keep you from an infection pull ear ring out.
It could be you got infection the first time because you didn't take proper care of it.
Good Luck!
Yes, you can definitely pierce it in the same spot. Did you have to remove the earring because of infection? Think twice before doing it again if infection was involved. Infection involving cartilage is a whole different thing than infection in soft tissue only.
Yes, as long as there is no infection. Go back to where you had the piercing done. It shouldn't be a problem. Make sure everything is CLEAN.
ok, you're right when you said you shouldn't have taken it out. i imagine that you took it out because it hurt to sleep on it. try piercing it on the ear that you don't sleep on. clean it with alcohol or the cleaner that they give you. but as for piercing it on the same spot...it'll hurt pretty bad because the cartilage built up in that one spot.
Go to a professional and have him/her look at it and tell you.
